How Does the Meter Reading App Integrated with Business Central Work?
Step 1: Take a Photo of the Meter
From the mobile app, the user selects the “Take Photo” option. One photo is enough for the system to automatically:
- recognize the meter’s serial number,
- read the measurement value,
- register the reading date.
Step 2: Automatic Data Assignment in the ERP System
If the meter is already registered in Business Central, the app:
- automatically matches the data,
- assigns the reading to the correct meter,
- archives the photo and values in the meter records.
All of this happens without manual data entry.
